This morning I woke to find that I've now sold 1000 books between Take a Hike! A long walk on the Appalachian Trail, and Appalachian Trail Myths: The Ugalu & Pamola. Thank you so much for your support, and I hope you have enjoyed the story of my epic adventure.

What has been quite surprising is the number of you who have decided to purchase my little original Appalachian Myths books of short stories, and how many of you have asked for more of these stories.

I have more to tell, and I will be bringing them to you in updates to this book over the coming months. For anyone who has purchased the Myths book, I will simply be updating this will new stories as new versions of the book and you will not have to purchase it again.  Those of you who received the first two stories in the back of Take a Hike! will have to purchase the Myths book if you wish to read the rest of the stories. Don't worry, I'll have plenty of discount codes available when the Myths book is updated if you have already purchased Take a Hike!.

I also want to thank those of you who have written me and shared your inspiration for your own hike. More than one of you remembered my initial journal on the Internet back in 1999 and purchased my book to see how everything went and to re-live the adventure with me.  It's fun to hear your stories, so keep them coming!

As we approach the New Year, please be safe in your travels, enjoy the time with friends and family, and plan your next outdoor adventure.

As always, go out and Take a Hike!
